5 tips for a perfect day at Disney World
November 14, 2024
Keep reading for a quick guide to help you love your trip and make you want to come back time and time again! Disney World can be very overwhelming and busy, but using these tips can help you have the most magical and perfect day at Disney World.
Take some breaks
This is probably my best advice for planning and executing the most perfect day in Disney World. Our favorite this to do is to leave the parks and go back to our resort for a recharge. After lunch is usually when this happens with our family. We love to get a cute lunch in the park and then head back. There are usually a few of us that take a nap in the air conditioning and then a couple usually head to the pool for some chill time.
Breaks within the parks are also 10/10. Florida sun can be very hot and tiring, so, finding a shady bench to sit and cool off is highly underrated. These mini breaks can make the day. An ice cream or snack makes it that much better.
Have a loose plan but go with the flow
I love having a plan. I love making a schedule and knowing what is going to be happening throughout the course of the day. But I learned early on in our Disney trips that this planning won’t always make for the best day. If you are there with kids they may
Buy the pass
You know what they say, time is money. And we fully support that philosophy when it comes to limiting our time standing in line. We almost always buy the pass which allows for skipping the stand by line. Originally it was called the fast pass (when it was apart of your resort stay, the good old days), then the Genie+, and most currently the Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass. We have not used it since the change in name but look forward to our upcoming trip to get used to the new system.
Snack early and often!
No one like to be hangry. Having snacks handy has saved us many times from some hunger inspired meltdowns. My major cost saving tip along with this is to either go to the grocery store or have an order delivered. You will save so much money getting some simple snacks from the store as opposed to relying on finding quick snacks within the parks. Sometimes just a regular old granola bar is what is needed.
Early Park Entry
Depending upon your resort, Disney offers Early Entry to the parks as a perk to your resort stay. While not everyone wants to participate in early mornings the whole vacation, I highly recommend trying it a few times. The wait times are super low and you can get a lot of the big rides in before the park officially opens. The crowds will seem crazy as other guests are arriving for rope drop, but once in the park there will be checkpoints where your account will be checked for the early entry option. Check out which resorts are apart of this perk and which rides are open during this time here.
Whether you’re going for the first time or the 10th time, using these tips will definitely help shape the perfect day at Disney. Adding your own touches will make magical memories that will last forever!
