Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort-An island oasis on the Seven Seas Lagoon

This picture perfect Disney Resort is just the right amount Disney theme park and Polynesian island vibes!

In my opinion…it is the best resort on WDW property. There is nothing like being submersed in the beachy, island vibe while gazing at the castle in the distance. I have the most wonderful memories from childhood trips of staying at the Polynesian. The lobby welcomes you to the island theme right away with the classic Disney Resorts scents unique to the resort along with the breezy music playing in the background. I can close my eyes and imagine it now!

When we took our first full vacation to Disney World I knew I wanted my family to experience the same Disney resort that held so many memories for me! Many years later it did not disappoint. The atmosphere alone has been enough to keep us coming back and the food options add to it even more. Capt. Cooks is the main quick service with fantastic offerings of regular food and a great variety of island themed meals…pulled pork nachos

So delicious and great to share!

Kona Cafe and ‘Ohana are the two other main restaurants at the resort. Kona is the home to the famed tonga toast which is banana stuffed, cinnamon and sugar french toast. Delightfully sweet and again a fond childhood memory of mine.

‘Ohana is an all you can eat restaurant with a wide variety of foods that come to your table, breakfast is character themed while dinner is not. The reviews and our experience at ‘Ohana are mixed. One year it is great the next average at best. Fun location to try at least once. I would after all our visits and at the time of writing this, recommend the breakfast over dinner. Pro-tip…book your reservation early and check often if you aren’t initially able to snag one! Click link for Disney World reservation site! https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dine-res/availability

If you’re not able to stay at the Poly for your trip be sure to visit to take in the island vibes!

  • […] Are you dreaming of staying at a deluxe or moderate Disney resort but scared of the price tag? You are probably not alone!! We have been fortunate enough to stay at a few different Disney resorts thanks to finding out about Disney DVC resorts. The Polynesian Village Resort is definitely our favorite DVC resort to stay at. You can read more about my love for the Polynesian report on this post! […]
