November 3, 2024
Whether you’re taking a break from the parks or planning a trip just to tee off in the Most Magical Place on Earth, Disney golf courses are something you should add to your list for your next trip.
Walt Disney World is home to four beautifully designed golf courses and two associated Pro Shops all within the Disney bubble. Three of the Disney golf courses are located adjacent to the Shades of Green Resort, Disney’s Palm Golf Course, Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, and Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course. The fourth course, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, is located by Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. All 4 course are open to the public with advance reservations available.
Meet the test of an outstanding course amid the natural beauty of the Florida woodlands.
Delight in this family-friendly retreat that’s home to an enjoyable 9-hole, par-36 walking course.
Designed in classic Tour style, this championship course is the longest of the Walt Disney World® Resort golf courses.
This classic country-club style course winds through pastel villas, pine forests, palmettos and sparkling lakes.

There is also a fun special called the Sunset 9 at all four course. At a discounted rate you can enjoy 9 holes of golf at any of the four beautiful courses. Click here for more information! What a magical way to end a day!
Golf Equipment and apparel
Not interested in traveling with your personal golf clubs, you’re in luck! Walt Disney World Golf courses offer a variety of Taylor Made golf equipment available to rent for a fee. Regular golf attire is expected and required on all four courses. If you are wanting to add some apparel to your wardrobe, definitely make a plan to stop by one of the pro-shops during your visit. I have yet to decide if I will pack or rent during my upcoming trip, but I know I will be doing some shopping! The merchandise at the pro-shop is only available on property and not online, so don’t miss out on your chance to bring home Disney golf merch!
Quick history of the Walt Disney World Golf Courses
Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course and Disney’s Palm Golf Course were the first two golf courses to open on WDW property. They opened the same day as Magic Kingdom! Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course opened one year later. Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course opened in 1982. Each of the courses have been re-imagined over the years bringing fresh Disney magic to the courses. You can find the original Mickey-shaped sand trap on the 6th hole of the Magnolia course. They also added a new Mickey sand trap to the 9th hole on the Oak Trail Course. Definitely worth a few minutes to stop and admire the Disney Imagineering crew adding a special touch to the parks!
On my last trip to WDW we stopped in the pro shop located at the Magnolia, Palm, and Oak Trail course. There were so many cute and subtle Disney items there. I knew then that I would want to return to actually play the courses! Hoping in my upcoming family trip in December we will be able to carve out some time to experience the courses!
